Blue Peacock Cichlid (Aulonocara nyassae)
Native to Lake Malawi the Blue Peacock is a stunningly beautiful bright Royal Blue specimen in the Peacock family. A dominant color in the Peacock family, the Blue Peacock stands to every letter of its name. Their incredible personality and relatively peaceful nature when compared to other species of Cichlids from Lake Malawi, makes them a must have. Blue Peacock cichlids should be kept with other similarly tempered Cichlids. Their requirements are simple, temperatures of 72 to 82°F and pH values of 7.8 to 8.6.
How to Acclimate Your Fish
Allow the sealed bag to float in your aquarium for approximately 15–20 minutes to equalize the temperature. Open the bag and gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over the next 15–20 minutes. Gently transfer the fish into the aquarium.
Important: Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium. Turn off aquarium lights and allow your new fish time to adjust to its new environment.
