Spotted highfin plecostomus is a popular freshwater fish that is known for its attractive spotted coloration and high fins. They are relatively easy to care for and make good additions to community aquariums.
Spotted highfin plecos are native to South America and can grow up to 12 inches in length. They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae, plant matter, and flakes. They are also relatively hardy and can tolerate a wide range of water conditions.
How to Acclimate Your Fish
Allow the sealed bag to float in your aquarium for approximately 15–20 minutes to equalize the temperature. Open the bag and gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over the next 15–20 minutes. Gently transfer the fish into the aquarium.
Important: Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium. Turn off aquarium lights and allow your new fish time to adjust to its new environment.
