Zebra Nerite Snail are a true classic in the planted aquarium hobby. Throughout the years they have been recognized as one of the best algae eaters in freshwater aquariums in general. Match them up with Amano shrimp for and incredible cleaning crew. Zebra Nerites specialize in flat film algae. Named for their distinct black and gold striping pattern, Zebra Nerite snails are probably the most sought after member of the ever-popular Nerite classification of snails. These snails possess a simple yet elegant beauty that draws all eyes directly to them in any aquarium set-up. However, there is much more to these snails than looks, as they are voracious algae-eaters!
How to Acclimate Your Fish
Allow the sealed bag to float in your aquarium for approximately 15–20 minutes to equalize the temperature. Open the bag and gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over the next 15–20 minutes. Gently transfer the fish into the aquarium.
Important: Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium. Turn off aquarium lights and allow your new fish time to adjust to its new environment.
