Hydrocotyle Verticillata is an amazing creeping, carpeting plant when grown under water. It has been popularized by known Aquascapers around the world, for its amazing and flexible use in many different styles of Aquascapes. A desirable carpeting plant with miniature, shiny, umbrella like leaves.
Even though it can find its way to reach the light, it should be kept under medium light intensity for the desired growth. Medium to high light will prevent legginess.
As with other Hydrocotyle species, the Hydrocotyle Verticillata benefits from a finer nutrient rich soil. Adding a coarse, porous bottom layer, under soft, well aerated, fine, nutrient rich soil, will make all your fine rooting plants explode in growth and density.
