Panda Corydoras Care

Panda Corydoras are schooling fish and should ideally be kept in a group of 6 or more. Keeping them in a proper group allows them to feel secure and display their natural social behavior.

A soft sand or smooth-substrate aquarium is recommended to protect their sensitive barbels. Provide live plants, driftwood, rocks, and open areas where they can forage.

Maintain clean, well-oxygenated water and perform regular water changes for optimal health.

Best Tank Mates

Panda Corydoras are excellent community fish and can be kept with peaceful species such as:

  • Tetras
  • Rasboras
  • Guppies
  • Dwarf Gouramis
  • Small peaceful community fish
  • Other Corydoras
  • Freshwater shrimp
  • Peaceful snails

Avoid aggressive or predatory fish that may harass or eat them.

Feeding

Feed Panda Corydoras a varied diet of high-quality sinking pellets and wafers supplemented with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia.

Although they are excellent scavengers, they should receive dedicated food that reaches the bottom of the aquarium.
