Amano Shrimp are relatively easy to keep in an established freshwater aquarium. They do best in stable water conditions with plenty of surfaces to graze.
A mature aquarium with live plants, driftwood, rocks, and other surfaces provides natural biofilm and algae for grazing.
Because shrimp can be sensitive to sudden changes in water chemistry, slow acclimation is strongly recommended when introducing Amano Shrimp to a new aquarium.

How to Acclimate Your Fish
Allow the sealed bag to float in your aquarium for approximately 15–20 minutes to equalize the temperature. Open the bag and gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over the next 15–20 minutes. Gently transfer the fish into the aquarium.
Important: Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium. Turn off aquarium lights and allow your new fish time to adjust to its new environment.
