This species are the most temperature tolerant species of Peacock Bass has made the Butterfly Peacock Bass (Cichla ocellaris) both one of the more popular aquarium species and also the most commonly transplanted species. Butterfly Peacock Bass are similar in size to Monoculus Peacock Bass, with adults typically reaching about 24 to 28 inches in length.
How to Acclimate Your Fish
Allow the sealed bag to float in your aquarium for approximately 15–20 minutes to equalize the temperature. Open the bag and gradually add small amounts of aquarium water over the next 15–20 minutes. Gently transfer the fish into the aquarium.
Important: Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium. Turn off aquarium lights and allow your new fish time to adjust to its new environment.
